Gina has a B.A. in Creative Writing from California State University, Long Beach. As Clear on Black’s Librarian, Gina is responsible for developing organizational systems and catalog guidelines, identifying print, electronic and physical resources that fit our designers’ needs, maintaining our product and specification database with accurate vendor/client information, and working with our designers and outside line representatives to improve the efficiency and comprehensiveness of our resource library. Her work as Office Manager finds her working closely with the administrative team, service providers, and IT to develop and maintain systems in the realms of HR protocol, technology, inter-office efficiency, and strategy. She is responsible for analyzing processes, writing and developing manuals and systems, managing filing systems, and planning events. She also serves as the Intern liaison.

If you could change something, what would it be? I would completely restructure the world’s systems of consumption to develop a sustainable model for commerce and consumerism. It is my dream to see a worldwide return to the principles of longevity and care for the Earth and a letting go of the principles of disposability and waste that drive the market today.
Tell us about something or someone who influenced you positively when you were growing up; As a child I watched Gorillas in the Mist and while it was incredibly devastating it was also completely inspiring. Dian Fossey became an influential example of courage, dedication, and compassion that would go on to inform my interests and passions and expand my perspective.
What book is on your coffee table or night stand? I buy books faster than I can read them and it’s becoming a problem. The Idiot’s Guide to Beekeeping, The Diary of Anais Nin, The Teachings of Don Juan, Black Holes and Baby Universes…
